From award-winning director Robert Redford, this docu-drama series spans the years of 1865-1890 exploring how - in the aftermath of the Civil War - the United States transforms into the “land of opportunity. Viewers will be transported into the violent world of cowboys, Indians, outlaws and lawmen and discover the personal, little-known true stories of Western legends such as Jesse James, Billy the Kid, Wyatt Earp, Crazy House and Sitting Bull.
